Fancied Jharsuguda crashed out of the 9th PC Behera Women`s Inter-District Football Tournament today.
In a pre-quarterfinal match at SB Women`s College ground in Cuttack, Kendrapara prevailed over Jharsuguda 5-4, via tie-breaker.
International Pinky Bompal Magar gave Jharsuguda the lead in the first half. But play in the regulation time ended in 1-1 draw as Gayatri Mallick, also an international, equalised for Kendrapara in the second half.
Meanwhile, Cuttack became the first team to enter semifinals when they beat Cuttack Sadar 3-1. International Gitanjali Khuntia scored a brace for the winners.
In another match of the day, Rairangpur beat Sonepur 5-0.
